JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
  • Supervise and coach the Storekeeper on all aspects of inventory management (material handling, sorting, shelving and accurate bin locations of spares according to predetermined sequence with accurate markings and identifying information).
  • Load and unload goods at the warehouse for material receipts and issues.
  • Handle chemicals and inflammable materials.
  • Operate forklift trucks and other lifting equipment as required.
  • Receive items in inventory with correct quantity, unit measurement, labels and correct BIN location.
  • Raise requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Ensure that all lotted items have shelf life/expiration date and all items with warranty are updated in MMS.
  • Ensure that all hazardous items have material safety data sheet (MSDS).
  • To guarantee that stock levels are accurate at all times, track all stock movements using the inventory management system (MMS) (including issuances, manual issuances transfers and returns).

     

  • Make sure that every asset is tied to the appropriate parent and issued in the appropriate operating location.
  • Make sure that a work order is created for each manual issue.

     

  • Make that the subsystem stores outstanding inventory balance report is given to the subsystem and that the crucial list is updated monthly.

     

  • Download important reports from the inventory management system, including the weekly and monthly reports that RTA requires.

     

  • Make sure that items with expiration dates and lotted items are handled appropriately.

     

  • Determine the stock below the reorder point and create a report on the replenishment.

     

  • arranging for the replacement of a returned or damaged item or providing any clarification

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have at least two years of experience working in an Inventory & Warehouse environment.
  • Must have at least one year experience in any of the following Inventory Management Systems – SAP, Maximo, and Oracle.
  • At least one year of forklift driving experience is mandatory.
  • Must have at least one year of Supply Chain Management experience.
  • Experience in inventory administration, logistics, issuing of materials, housekeeping, and using a computerised inventory management system is preferable.
  • Must have a Folk lift operator license with minimum of six months driving experience.
  • Must have a valid UAE driving license.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Good General Trade skills – Be able to work with wood and cardboard to specially pack items for shipping & transport to site.
  • Must be Computer Literate with relevant IT skills in basic MS Office applications – outlook, excel and word in particular.
  • Ability to recognize and differentiate between engineering commodity groups like: Relays, Plumbing spares, and Ventilation or Air conditioning parts.
  • Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Preferably can operate forklift truck with a valid UAE license or willing to take license in short period.
  • Flexible and motivated to work in a time-sensitive environment to unanticipated high workloads, events and emergencies.
