Project Controller Job in Dubai UAE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Pro-actively initiate preparation/maintenance of project budgets with Project Managers, challenge the assumptions made, and monitor actuals versus budget

Manage and keep an eye on pertinent project procedures and records, such as purchasing, subcontracts, audits, insurance, compliance, project risks, etc.

Project projections for the financial reporting as well as timely delivery of project results for monthly and quarterly reports

Gather, track, and evaluate pertinent project and financial data to find patterns and advancements.

To boost efficiency, closely collaborate with the appropriate teams to develop, implement, and improve pertinent procedures and processes.

Regularly audit projects and share findings and recommendations for improvement (financial, tax, compliance, contracts, etc.)

Report to the Department Head and the Country Business Controller within our matrix organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance with a focus on Controlling, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

Professional experience in project controlling, ideally in an engineering company or a company in the construction industry

Solid knowledge of basic legalities as well as claim management

Experience in negotiating and contracting

Hands-on mentality and analytical skills with affinity to financial topics and project risks

Proactive, accurate, and well-developed communication skills
