JOB DESCRIPTION

• Ensure punctual and efficient delivery of catering items to the designated location at the airport on time and ensure that all deliveries are supplied as per the SOPs/procedures and airline specifications.
• Liaise and assist the Airside Loading team (ALT) with the aircraft load/offload catering to ensure all flight requirements are met before departure.
• To guarantee safe and efficient operations for load and unload activities, position and operate the high loader equipment adjacent to the aircraft in accordance with the SOPs and procedures.
• Perform autonomous overall vehicle To prevent interruptions during load/offload operations on the airside, conduct pre-trip inspections before trips begin and report any mechanical issues for remedial action.
• To prevent damage to the catering and equipment, make sure the vehicle chiller is pre-cooled and that the cargo belts are securely fastened.

   

• Follow safe driving procedures to ensure that you are always in compliance with DIA ramp safety regulations and U.A.E. road traffic rules.
• Respect all company-established health and safety guidelines and vehicle rules, and report any damage or flaws you see when operating light and heavy vehicles.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education Qualification:

• High School Certificate Qualification or equivalent qualification (must have).
• Should have a valid U.A.E. driving license (# 4 Heavy truck).

Work Experience:

• Minimum experience of 5 years in a Logistics/Transport environment as a Truck Driver or a similar role.

REQUIREMENTS

• Should be well versed in written and spoken English with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Should have knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels
• Knowledgeable in First Aid, Safety/ basic firefighting (preferred).
• Driving license holder number 4 (preferred)
• Should have the ability to safely and efficiently operate a loaded vehicle.
• Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Security Pass.
• Should be physically fit in order to be able to perform Manual Handling Tasks (bend, kneel, stoop and use of ladder).
• Able to work alone or in a team environment.
• Willing to work in shifts
