JOB DESCRIPTION
• • Coordinate daily import/export freight forwarding operations (air, sea, and land) ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
• • Serve as the operational backbone for the Freight Forwarding Manager by managing documentation, bookings, and shipment tracking from origin to final delivery.
• • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Assure adherence to international commerce requirements, incoterms, and customs laws.
• Create and oversee all shipment paperwork, such as packing lists, commercial invoices, AWBs, and B/Ls.
Participate actively in the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and freight forwarding department’s establishment and organization.
To increase productivity, cut expenses, and improve service quality, offer operational insight and feedback.
Oversee client communications on exceptions, service solutions, and shipment updates.
In collaboration with the Sales & price Coordinator, help design price strategies and quotes.
As the department expands, assist with the hiring and onboarding of junior team members.
Make sure that shipment records, reports, and system updates contain accurate data.
REQUIREMENTS
• • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in freight forwarding operations, with proven knowledge across air, sea, and road freight.
• • Prior experience working in the UAE logistics industry with exposure to GCC customs and clearance procedures.
• • Strong client portfolio and existing network of contacts in the logistics and freight industry is highly desirable.
• • Excellent knowledge of international shipping documentation, customs procedures, and trade regulations.
• • Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems, and shipment tracking platforms.
• • Strong problem-solving abilities, multitasking skills, and attention to detail.
• • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic and/or French is a plus.
• • A proactive, committed, and reliable team player ready to take initiative in a startup environment.
