JOB DESCRIPTION
- Maintain and update the engineering department’s records, logs, and reports.
- Coordinate work orders and track their status to ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, including procurement and stock control.
- As needed, prepare departmental reports, meetings, and correspondence.
- Prioritize and plan maintenance tasks in coordination with other departments to minimize disturbances to visitors.
- Help with the creation and execution of preventative maintenance plans.
- Ensure that all engineering operations adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Keep an eye on energy usage and assist with sustainability projects as needed.
- Serve as a point of contact with the engineering group and other hotel divisions.
- Plan and organize equipment maintenance, repairs, and vendor visits.
- Respond to maintenance-related questions or grievances from visitors and report any unsolved problems to the chief engineer.
- Create reports on equipment performance and maintenance actions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- To guarantee precise tracking of budgets and activities, keep an eye on the maintenance management system.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of administrative or technical support experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic technical understanding of hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
