JOB DESCRIPTION
• Attending to Inspection Requests (IR’s) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• In order to ensure contractual compliance, monitor the quality of the work and evaluate site safety, taking into account environmental and health concerns. This includes QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Keep track of all daily site operations, including progress images, and make sure they are easily accessible for inspection when needed.
• Prepare non conformance reports (NCR) if necessary in light of the events that have transpired, as well as surveillance reports for work faults discovered on the site.
• Verify and guarantee efficient coordination across all other disciplines and discipline-related tasks.
• Offer technical advice and expertise to address any discipline-related problems that may come up on the job site.
REQUIREMENTS
• Engineering degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related
• 8-10+ years of relevant experience in construction supervision of major infrastructure projects including roads and utilities.
• Must have relevant experience working in a similar role in an engineering consultancy or supervision consultant.
• Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
