JOB DESCRIPTION

Machine Operation:

• Set up, operate, and adjust dispersing & blending machines ,  according to production specifications and schedules.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency, making adjustments as necessary.
• Operating industrial color tinting machine for water based & solvent based paint

Quality Control:

Verify that final goods and raw materials meet quality standards.
Throughout the production process, conduct routine quality inspections.
Use test panels to verify the color.

Upkeep:

To guarantee optimum operation, undertake routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
Diagnose and fix minor mechanical problems; notify the production supervisor and maintenance staff of any significant concerns.

Compliance with Safety:

To keep a safe workplace, follow all Akzo Nobel safety procedures and requirements.
Observe the Golden Principle and the Akzo Nobel Life Saving Guidelines.
As directed, wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in 5S audits and uphold housekeeping standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar Liquid Paint Manufacturing industry.
• Basic command of spoken and written English.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions given on batch cards & Standard Operating Procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic knowledge of equipment and its operational settings e.g. HSD’s Blenders, Bead Mills, material handling equipment.  Knowledge & License of forklift operation will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of safety rules and measures in a production environment.
