JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the organization and its operations.
• Evaluate safety programs and training initiatives, providing constructive feedback to enhance overall safety performance.
• Encourage active participation in safety procedures and foster a culture of safety by working together with management and staff.
• Write thorough reports that include inspection results, infractions, and suggestions for remedial measures.
• Keep an eye on how well safety precautions are working, and identify areas for improvement by conducting routine audits and risk assessments.
• Examine incidents and accidents to identify underlying causes and suggest preventative actions to stop them from happening again.
• Lead seminars and safety training sessions to inform staff members about emergency protocols and safe work practices.
• To guarantee continued compliance and best practices, stay informed on local, state, and federal safety standards and laws.
• Serve as a point of contact for the organization and regulatory bodies, guaranteeing effective communication and compliance with safety regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety inspection or a similar role within a relevant industry, such as construction or manufacturing.
• Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards relevant to the industry is essential for compliance.
• Proficiency in safety management software and tools to streamline inspection processes and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies based on data.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote a safe working environment.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to identifying and mitigating safety risks proactively.
• Physical ability to conduct inspections in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces.
