JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Inspects deliveries of Food, beverage, general, engineering and operational supplies to ensure that they conform to quality specification and ensure that a duly authorized and valid purchase order exists for the supply.
  • Acceptance and close control of all incoming goods in respect of volume and quantity
  • Enter all internal goods movements into the computer system daily
  • In charge of accepting and doing preliminary inspections on every item arriving at the hotel based on its quantity and quality
  • Make that a purchase order number and a receiving document number are included on every supplier invoice.
  • Use the purchase order to verify the unit prices.
  • Boxes are opened for examination.
  • All direct purchases should be sent to the departments making the request, and all retail items should be sent to the appropriate locations.
  • enters each and every receipt into the system. creates receiving reports and prepares receiving records for every item received.
  • As mandated by the municipality and in compliance with safety and hygienic regulations, make sure that a register is kept for the receiving area’s temperature readings.
  • Notify the purchasing department of any undelivered or returned items that do not match the specified criteria, and report any deviations to the cost controller.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Min. 2 years’ experience as Receiving Clerk in hotel industry
  • Effective communication skills and pleasant personality
  • Knowledge of various accounting software such as OPERA, FMC
  • Graduation in accounting from a reputed university
  • HACCP certification is an added advantage
  • MS Office knowledge required
