Accounting & Tax Manager Job in Dubai UAE

JOB DESCRIPTION
Accounting:
- Manage & oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and review appropriate ledger accounting data
- Maintain the general ledger system and prepare monthly financial statements
- Provide accurate data and recommendations to controlling team and CFO
- Ensure that all accounting processes align with IFRS and current local financial legislations
- Ensure that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Improve processes and initiate corrective actions
- Help to uniformize processes between all brands at local level
- Reporting of the P&L and BS to HQ
Tax:
- Oversee and assist in the preparation of all tax forms for the business, including income tax, withholding tax, and tax returns.
- Make sure all tax forms are filed on time and accurately.
- Create a general filing calendar and plan for it.
- Continue to implement efficient control measures for every facet of the tax process.
- Track changes to tax legislation and regulations.
- assist in the upcoming months as the new income tax is implemented.
- Assist with different internal audits and projects pertaining to special taxes.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Management and Accounting – ideally within retail business
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent leadership and communication skills – minimum of 5 years experience leading a team in a similar position
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles
- Excellent mathematic skills
- Proficiency with computers, especially book
- keeping software and MS Office
- High level of efficiency and accuracy
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data
