JOB DESCRIPTION
- Answer all incoming calls, connect them to the appropriate extension in an efficient, friendly and caring manner according to the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental standards
- Write down messages accurately for our guests and deliver messages in a timely manner
- Handle guests’ requests for DND (Do Not Disturb) and confidential status
- Handle personal wakeup call requests for guests according to the LQA standard and automatic wakeup call requests for group and crew guests
- Respond to any inquiries and requests from visitors in a warm and considerate way. If necessary, take the necessary action or forward the issues to the right people. It could involve answering a complaint, giving advice, helping to make an outside call, etc.
- To be in charge of all hotel communications in an emergency and act as the communication hub
- Ensure that every DDD (Domestic Direct Dial) and IDD (International Direct Dial) is fully documented. Ensure that all phone charges are coordinated with the front desk reception to guarantee that guests are billed and reimbursed.
- Keep an eye on the TV channels, outlets, and music in public areas to make sure everything is operating smoothly.
- In an emergency, act as the hotel’s communication center and manage all communications.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent organizational and effective communication skills
- Minimum 1 experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred
- Additional language will be a benefit
