JOB DESCRIPTION
– Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
– Onboard new employees by preparing orientation materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
– Keep and update personnel files, making sure all data is correct and private.
Support the management of benefit plans for employees and help respond to their questions about benefits.
Assist in planning staff training and development initiatives, including monitoring attendance and providing feedback.
Engage in employee engagement programs and help carry out HR activities that improve workplace culture.
Conduct departure interviews and help departing employees with the offboarding process.
Maintain current understanding of HR best practices while ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations.
When necessary, help with payroll processes to guarantee timely and accurate payout.
Assist the HR department administratively by setting up meetings, keeping track of schedules, and creating reports.
REQUIREMENTS
– Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within the fitness or hospitality industry.
– Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with a passion for people management.
– Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer service orientation.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
– A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
– Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
