JOB DESCRIPTION
- Coordinate and arrange the shipment of goods via various transportation methods, including air, sea, and land.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as customs forms, shipping invoices, and export permits, are completed accurately and in compliance with international regulations.
- Talk to shipping companies, air agents, suppliers, and customs brokers to make sure that things are delivered smoothly and on time.
- Keep an eye on the state of shipments and let clients and other important people know about any changes on a regular basis.
- Take care of any problems or delays in the shipping process and work to find good answers to make sure goods get delivered on time.
- Keep your knowledge of foreign shipping rules and customs procedures up to date to make sure you follow them and avoid any problems or delays that might happen.
- Work with our other offices on sales, logistics, and customer service to make sure that shipping goes smoothly and that any concerns or unique needs of customers are met.
- Give great customer service by responding quickly to questions and problems about shipments and orders.
- Rates and sales opportunities should be talked over with our providers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in shipping / freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of international shipping procedures and transport documentation.
- Must have experience in working with transportation in European Countries to and from worldwide destinations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail to ensure accurate completion of transportation documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with shipping companies, customs brokers, and internal teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure and address any shipping issues or delays in a timely and effective manner.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
