JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supervise, plan and coordinate the workshop maintenance, fleet servicing and maintenance activities, including managing and allocating project resources to ensure agreed time, quality, safety and environmental targets are met.
• Supervise and ensure that the subcontractors employed to support the repair activities in the workshop carry out their tasks efficiently as per EKFC standards without causing any disruptions to the overall workshop operations.
• Manage the workshop orders in ERP, log job allocation, keep an eye on timely, reasonably priced repairs to guarantee project completion on schedule, and make precise fleet maintenance records possible.

   

• To inspire the workshop team and the outsourced team and guarantee company continuity with the least amount of vehicle downtime, give guidance, direction, and frequent feedback on workshop performance.

   

• Provide workshop staff with training and instruction so they may carry out their duties effectively and shorten the length of vehicle stops.

   

• Through management of stakeholder relations and communication, negotiation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, enable the effective provision of mechanical and repair services.

   

• To identify technical issues and make sure the equipment has been repaired and/or serviced on time to allow the smooth operation of operations, go over and comprehend the schematic diagrams, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for all recall / improvement campaigns.
• Working with the workshop team, make recommendations on resources, productivity, work procedures, and related expenses to guarantee business continuity and efficient operation of the workshop.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education Qualification:

• Diploma or ITI/ITC (Industrial Training Institute) Certification or equivalent qualification -Trade test certificate (Must have)
• Valid UAE light duty license (must have)
• Valid UAE heavy truck license (preferred)

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years* experience in a supervisory role in a largescale commercial fleet maintenance operation, handling heavy vehicles equipped with well-known catering hi loader super structure.
• Experience in ground support equipment maintenance workshop or considerable on the job experience in Airport Ground support Equipment (Catering Hi-loader) maintenance and repair.
• Transport Refrigeration units repair and maintenance/ Body shop & paint/Hydraulic and pneumatic systems/Programmable logic cards (PLC) systems and diagnosis.
• Possess knowledge of welding and fabrication, Mechanical, Auto electrical, Vehicle instrumentation, Automobile Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration systems.
• Possess Knowledge on Operations, services and activities of a fleet maintenance and repair program
• Any specialised training on hydraulics/lifting equipment/ would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of Fleet Management and understanding of business continuity will be beneficial

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven ability to communicate in English (Verbal & written)
• Proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
• A valid UAE heavy driving licence (truck #. 4) is preferred.
• Training on First Aid, Safety/ basic firefighting would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills able to motivate and supervise a team of workshop personnel.
• Ability to work under pressure and tough deadlines
