JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist with Non-Medical Care and Ward Duties:

Support the nursing team with patient care tasks, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort.

Respond promptly to patient and family requests to ensure safety and satisfaction.

Patient Safety and Comfort:

Conduct hourly patient rounding to ensure their comfort and address any needs.

Attend to call bells and alarms, and report relevant issues to nurses.

Maintain Cleanliness and Equipment Care:

Biomedical equipment and patient care carts should be cleaned, and supplies should be refilled.
Work with housekeeping to keep common areas, nursing stations, and patient rooms clean.
Oversee and document hospital supplies, such as oxygen cylinders, sharps containers, and linens.

Assistance with Transport and Administrative Tasks:

Serve as a point of contact in outpatient environments, aid with bed management, and help with patient transportation.
Keep track of records for linen hampers, borrowed goods, and make sure that instruments are properly sterilized.

Safety and Compliance:

Observe the hospital’s guidelines for infection control, waste management, and patient confidentiality.
Engage in emergency drills, training, and the usage of personal protective equipment as needed.
