Respond to, note, log, and handle any calls, requests, queries, or grievances from visitors. Run a switchboard for telephones. Handle wake-up, screening, do not disturb, call forwarding, conference, TDD relay, and non-registered guest call requests from guests. Inform the guest of any texts you have received. Keep an eye on busy or unanswered lines, offer to take a message, and follow up with callers who are on hold to find out how they’re doing. Accurate, comprehensive, and readable messages should be received, recorded, and relayed. When necessary, turn on and off the message lights in the guest room. Give visitors instructions on how to use the internet, and direct those who encounter difficulties to the provider’s customer service number. To make sure it functions properly, test the communications equipment. Attend to guests’ particular requests and meet their individual needs. As needed, get in touch with the right person or department to handle a guest call, request, or issue. Check in with visitors to make sure their needs or issues have been resolved to their satisfaction. When necessary, dispatch bell staff or valet service.
