JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Greet customers, offer assistance and serve them in order to ensure their needs and complaints are answered in a timely manner with quality and customer service standards creating customer loyalty and portfolio.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient receiving process of items/shipments as well as monitor all kind of inventory activities such as cycle counts and stock movements including transfers between shops, transfers to/from warehouse, damaged items, devolution, etc.
  • Look at hourly, daily, and weekly sales data, keep an eye on selling items, missing sizes or items, and collection rotation (together with BM and VM), and figure out what needs to be restocked, place accurate orders, meet stock performance goals, and make sure that sales goals are met.
  • Find out what customers want, try to guess what they might want, and give regular feedback on market trends, competitors’ actions that affect the area or market
  • Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate team members to make sure they have the right skills and image and are set up in the best way to reach their full potential and make the most of their input to the company.
  • Hold talks every day in Japanese to keep the staff informed and interested.
  • Make a staff schedule based on budgeted hours and/or customer traffic, daily sales goals, events, and operational needs (like shipments, stock counts, sales, etc.). Also, make sure that sales plans are communicated clearly to the Shop/Department team and set daily and hourly goals.
  • On the given platforms (Helpdesks, Events, Loss Prevention tool, etc.), accurately and on time, record and update all business and operational information as well as different requests.
  • Manage the yearly budget by keeping an eye on spending up to the limits that were set, finding ways to save money and improve efficiency, and reporting any differences between actual spending and the budget (after first checking with the DM or BM).
  • Watch over the shop’s image and make sure it meets the brand’s standards. Check and make sure that the shop’s display, cleaning, and upkeep are all taken care of, including the window, cash register, and stock room.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of experience in a managerial role; Previous experience in the industry/retail is a major plus

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Skills Specific for Sports Goods retail: Collective Game, Project oriented, Athlete/ambassador, Enthusiastic, Contributor, Empathic, Entrepreneur and responsible
  • Specific for Sports Goods retail: Active participation in at least one sporting activity and expert knowledge of sporting events
