JOB DESCRIPTION

Shipping Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments and verifying rates.
• Cross trades in Dry Containers and well versed in switch documents.

• Taking in incoming cargo and getting ready to send out shipments.
• Maintaining and controlling stock levels.
• Creating and sharing shipping schedules.
• Communicating with carrier services and vendors to arrange schedules and logistics.
• Helping clients and handling complaints and shipment problems.
• A thorough comprehension of documents such as air waybills, packing lists, export permits, customs export declarations, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin

 

Personal Assistant Responsibilities:
• Managing Director’s’ calendars and setting up meetings
• Answering emails and phone calls
• Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients

• Keeping the filing system and diary organized; reminding the director of deadlines and key tasks

• booking travel and lodging

• keeping an eye on spending; and creating private reports

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have experience in shipping line or handling shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Switch BLs) etc.
• Must have a good understanding of arranging cross border shipments.
• Good communication and coordination skills with various parties involved in the business (suppliers, forwarders, Insurance companies, Chamber of commerce, Clearing agents, customs, sales department).
• Candidates must be very service orientated, reliable and extremely dedicated.
