JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Allocation and management of security resources on shift.
  • Responsible for coordinating shift cover in event of call offs/sick etc
  • Ensure all leave (sick leave, annual leave, carers leave, etc) is processed on Serco’s internal reporting systems in a timely manner i.e MyHr
  • Keeping the security list up to date, managing human resources, and communicating with work force management (WFM).

     

  • Make sure that you keep in touch with your staff through My Catch Up, setting goals, one-on-one catch-ups, and kit talks.

     

  • Taking care of all staff extra claims and questions on time and setting up a well-organized filing system

     

  • Providing effective information and communications about the security services offered both inside and outside the company.

     

  • Following the right steps and security methods to meet the client and base operating environment’s security needs.

  • Doing regular and ad hoc security checks.

     

  • When it’s needed, helping the incident investigators gather information and proof.

     

  • Help the security guards with their individual tasks when needed.

     

  • Do emergency and shift work when asked to.

     

  • Do and complete any other sensible tasks that the Fire & Security Manager tells you to.

     

  • Please report any events or situations that could threaten the base’s safety and security.

     

  • Help the security guards and other departments handle incidents and situations when they happen.

     

  • Take an active role in Serco working groups like the Operational Excellence Committee, the Welfare Committee, and the WHS Committee.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess an active Australian Baseline security clearance or higher issued by AGSVA OR previously held a baseline clearance or higher in the past approx. 8 years (so Serco can sponsor the reactivation of the security clearance) OR candidate is to provide a recent police criminal history report from Australia (or from the local GCC country if candidate is currently residing in the GCC) so Serco can sponsor the successful candidates application to AGSVA for a baseline clearance – only Australian Citizens are eligible for security clearance.
  • Fluent English communication skills (reading, writing and spoken) and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Able to conduct rotational shift patterns, including 12-hour day and night shifts.
  • UAE Driving Licence required (for Security Patrol operations) – Candidate must have a valid Australian driver’s licence (light vehicle) to apply for a UAE driving licence.
  • Must have the appropriate accredited competencies, skills, proficiencies, licenses and qualifications. This includes possessing at the minimum a valid Certificate II in Security Operations and a security license issued by the applicable Australian State Governing Organization (or approved equivalent). The security license shall at the minimum, include the below licence functions:
    • Crowd Controller
    • Security Officer – Unarmed
    • Security Officer – Monitoring (subject to this competency being listed on the candidate’s security license by the licensing authority in the subject State/Territory in Australia)
