  • Set up appointments for the sales team, telemarketing and insider tours to prospected accounts.
  • To provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the Director of Sales and back-up administration to the sales team.  Preparation of correspondence, maintenance of appointments diary for sales team and Director of Sales.
  • Proactively prospects new accounts for the hotel and Marriott International by following the sales process through to convert into ‘producing’ accounts.
  • Set up and maintain an effective filing system for the sales department, including a daily trace file, to ensure all weekly, monthly and bi-annual deadlines are met by the sales team and Director of Sales.
  • Exhibit a high degree of enthusiasm and concentrate on delivering continuously excellent customer service.
  • Within a day or so of sending out proposals, follow up to make sure the client has gotten the information and to address any queries or concerns that may have arisen.
    monitoring provisional reservations in the designated markets.
  • Track down lost business and tell the department head of any relevant information.
  • oversees the completion of all FIT contract solicitations and RFPs, making sure they are finished precisely and according to budgetary requirements. ensuring proper follow-up, internal communication, and confirmation to the client as well as the accounting and reservations departments.
  • Getting into contracts.
  • Notify the sales staff of any modifications to the customer profile.
  • to plan and oversee educational tours and familiarization trips to properties in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • to be able to respond to any requests for space from banquetings and groups before speaking with the events team.
  • to instruct and assist additional sales team members as needed in these applications.
  • By creating and putting into place administrative processes, the department’s organization and efficiency will be continuously improved.
  • When necessary, proofread marketing and promotional materials. Respond to or forward any questions or correspondence.


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a sales coordinator.



  • Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in local language, English and at least one additional language.
  • Must pass the Sales Select Test.
  • Courteous & efficient telephone manner.
  • Excellent organizational/administrative skills with office management experience.
  • Ability to priorities tasks & to manage workload using own initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources.
  • Ability to appreciate “the big picture”, whilst having a talent for detail & an inherent thoroughness in task approach, follow-up & completion.
  • Strong writing skills with excellent spelling & grammar.
  • Typing skills – 65 words per minute & speed writing preferred.
