JOB DESCRIPTION

• Implement Aldar and Parsons HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance, and HSE targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.
• Liaise with Safety Manager and Contractors for the improvement & implementation of Corporate HSE Management ethics.
• Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable Safety measures and best practices.
• Examine each major activity’s Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessment Plan. Conduct an HSE visit, assess the site’s hazard control measures, job safety plans, and work method statements, and report any inadequacies to the resident engineer for prompt correction.

   

• Examine and track the monthly HSE reports and inspections from contractors.

   

• monthly safety meetings, establishing goals to resolve unresolved issues, and preparing and submitting the minutes to all relevant parties for follow-up.

   

• Review the following: HSE meetings, Toolbox Talks, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Contractor Records, and HSE Statistics in accordance with Company regulations.

   

• Examine the incident and accident investigation reports that contractors have provided, share the lessons learned, and keep an eye on the immediate and follow-up activities taken to reduce or eliminate

  recurrence.

   

• As may be necessary, carry out additional duties related to this role.

REQUIREMENTS

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Minimum Diploa or B.Sc. or equivalent degree in environmental/loss prevention or any relevant engineering disciplines from an accredited university.
• With recognized Health and Safety education, certifications (ADVETI), license or training in UAE (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHAD – Qudorat, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc).
• At least 7+ years of construction supervision experience working as a Safety Officer.
• Able to attend physical interviews in Abu Dhabi.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• At least 3 years of recent experience in construction supervision of infrastructure work.
• Preferably with relevant experience working in an engineering consulting firm.
• Preferably with experience the in UAE and with a driving license is an advantage.
