JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports.
  • Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department.
  • Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
  • To guarantee count accuracy, reconcile receiving reports and shipping bills.
  • Obtain, hold, transport, and distribute departmental mail and parcels that come in and go out.
  • Make sure the packages are kept safe by securing the receiving room and everything inside.
  • Observe all local, state, federal, and hazardous material shipping laws and guidelines.
  • Send out all items and mail. Check the number and state of the packages when they are received before delivering them to the guest.
  • Talk to the guest about the packages they received.
  • Keep a precise tracking system for all shipping and receiving activities, including getting visitor signatures on packages that are received.
  • Inform the appropriate management of any parcel loss or damage.
