JOB DESCRIPTION
Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Check received inventory, keep track of it, and fill out inventory logs and reports. To guarantee count accuracy, reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports. Incoming and outgoing department mail and goods are received, stored, shipped, and delivered. Protect the receiving area and everything in it, making sure that the parcels are kept safe. Observe all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the transportation of hazardous materials. Ship every item and letter that is sent out. Before delivering the items to the guests, confirm their amount and condition upon receipt. Talk to the visitor about the packages they received. Keep a precise record of every shipping and receiving transaction, including getting visitor signatures on packages that have been received. Report any package loss or damage to the appropriate management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
