JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Transfer Order Creation: Create transfer orders from all Eastern Winery production facilities to central buffers, including tracking of Direct Store Delivery (DSD).
  • Inventory Management: Print inventory count sheets and work with stockpersons to reconcile inventories daily, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) is followed.
  • Order Coordination: Coordinate pick releases and print pick slips for each delivery day by customer and carrier.
  • Logistics Coordination: Organize and coordinate the supply, storage, and distribution of the company’s goods, serving as support between departments, customers, and carriers.
  • Analyze data, report on performance, spot logistical issues, and help with the development of improvement strategies.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: To guarantee that customer satisfaction is maintained or increased in accordance with SLAs, assist in looking into and addressing any delivery issues brought up by the sales and retail departments.
  • Reporting: Track and document the accuracy and rate of warehouse picks, as well as the performance of on-time carriers by warehouse and customer.
  • Inventory Movement: Under the supervision of the Logistics Supervisor, manage the return material authorizations (RMAs) and sub-transfers associated with inventory movement.
  • VQA Processing: Comply with Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) standards for movements of sub-inventory, including bottle aging and sales hold.
  • Administrative help: As needed, offer the East Logistics Team administrative help.
  • Inspections: Under the supervision of, carry out and record all quantity and quality inspections.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Production/Manufacturing or Business Administration preferred.
  • Order Processing: Able to manage large volumes of order processing, measured by order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Independence and Pace: Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, stand, and pull as required.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening and closing the warehouse at the start or end of the workday.
