JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and provide technical and administrative direction on all safety and health policies and programs which bear critical importance to overall corporate objectives, operations, and profitability of the various divisions.
- Review internal safety policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and develop new or, where necessary, make recommendations to senior management to amend health & safety policies and procedures.
- Create a work environment which reflects a commitment to protecting the health and safety of employees.
- Promote Health and Safety throughout the Hotel.
- Work jointly and collaboratively with operations to improve operational efficiencies and reduce Health and Safety related costs.
- Create an accident investigation program to stop accidents from happening again and make sure that information about incidents is sufficiently shared at all locations. Procedures should be updated as needed.
- Perform (or arrange for) on-site operational audits and evaluations at each location.
- putting plans into action directly to address health and safety concerns.
- Engage in active participation in the resort’s safety meeting scheduling process to examine safety performance and policies.
- Establish and promote a culture that reflects a dedication to a workplace free from illnesses and injuries.
- Send written reports on a regular basis, along with other production-related findings and updates, to the senior management team on a regular basis to help them assess problems or at their request.
- Develop, implement, and maintain all threat response plan training.
REQUIREMENTS
- Liaise with Government authorities and be familiar with all regulations.
