JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure accurate and efficient running of reception including check in/out procedures
  • Respond to Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure that both the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Comprehend in detail every hotel room category, tariff, package, promotion, and other general product information that’s required to carry out everyday tasks.
  • Increase room occupancy and advertise hotel amenities and services through upselling strategies.
  • Recognize the proper protocols for accepting cash, credit cards, and foreign currencies in compliance with the hotel credit policy.

     

  • Respond to switchboard calls as needed
  • Make sure that all guest deliveries and messages are handled quickly and properly.
  • Observe fire, health, and safety rules, and where necessary, follow the proper protocols.
  • When using property management systems and front of house equipment, follow policies and procedures.
  • Attend the proper training sessions when necessary.
  • Respect and uphold the company’s brand guidelines.
  • When needed, provide assistance to other departments and uphold positive working relationships with team members.
  • Determine a specific project to finish during your internship placement in collaboration with your manager.

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Competent level of IT proficiency

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience in cash handling
