JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Administration of purchase orders and service contracts including managing change orders for in or out of scope items
  • Prepares Request for Proposal. Interfaces with affected sections to clarify and ensure that all necessary data has been included.
  • Receives contractors’ responses to requests for proposals, determines each contractor’s ability to meet Company and project requirements, and negotiates the terms and conditions.
  • Inform the SC-OR management of the planned actions’ contractual importance. Become the prime contracts’ subject matter expert.
  • To lower risk exposure, negotiate modifications to the terms and conditions.
  • Ensures that terms and conditions are appropriate by preparing contract documents and modifications.
  • creates and keeps precise monitoring documents customised for every contract.
  • Prepare and deliver notifications and notices that are important under the terms of the contract.
  • Examine proposals to make sure they adhere to the terms of the contract.
  • Regarding contract terms and risk-related matters, collaborate with the Legal, Risk, Project Controls, and Business Services departments.
  • Assure adherence to the administration of essential documents and pertinent communication for reporting, contract audits, litigation assistance, and contract close-out.
  • Create the presentation package for the kick-off meeting, create the agenda, schedule meetings with the project team, vendors, and contractors, and oversee/lead KOM.
  • Create a bid check estimate and assess commercial offers for the new construction contract.
  • Examine and confirm the completed scope of work in the contractor’s project completion note.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering degree/equivalent
  • 8+ years experience in a contracts administration role in the oil and gas industry

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good understanding & extensive experience of procurement and contract administration processes and principles.
  • Strong grasp of procedural requirements & necessity of providing an Audit Trail for Management purposes
  • Ability to efficiently work with other groups to resolve issues
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Experience in SAP / Maximo will be preferred
  • Understanding of materials and Site construction activities for an Oil and Gas Projects
