JOB DESCRIPTION

Follows all relevant customer service and airlines specific policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in line with regulations and SLAs.

Day-to-day operations related to own job and be available on the assigned task in a timely manner.

Discusses safety concerns openly and reports them to the concerned Team Leader on shift.

Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Guides and assists the team of Loaders and Equipment Operators in cargo handling activities ( build-up, breakdown, acceptance and delivery, documentation of cargo, courier and mail in line with the standards.

At every stage of delivery, acceptance, breakdown, and build-up, items are inspected, verified against pertinent documentation, and counted to make sure they meet all applicable requirements and are sent out in accordance with standard operating procedures.

promptly enters data, either automatically or manually, into the cargo systems.

Ensures efficient and effective coordination with government agencies, including Customs, Municipality, Health, and Police, to guarantee the seamless transportation of all goods, mail, and courier.

complies with IATA manuals for handling and loading any special cargo, including valuables, live animals, and hazardous materials.

carries out all associated cargo handling tasks and drives equipment (forklifts, tow trucks, etc.) as needed to transfer goods.

loads and unloads goods from trucks, airplanes, and ULDs as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

High School with a Certificate (12 years of schooling) or Diploma in a related field

2-4 years of experience in Logistics and Cargo

Proficient IT and Computer Literacy

English Language and Communication skills

Basic Safety Awareness Skills

Basic Planning and Organizing Skills

Customer Management Skills
