JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Collections: Follow up with clients on outstanding payments through calls, emails, and other communication channels. Work closely with the sales team to resolve any payment issues.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, ensuring all payments are accurately applied. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Invoicing and Billing: Assist with invoices to customers. Ensure that billing discrepancies are identified and resolved.
  • Management of Delinquent Accounts and Outstanding Invoices: In charge of handling and resolving delinquent accounts and outstanding invoices. Deal directly with customers to agree on terms of payment that are in line with business procedures.
  • Reporting: Create monthly reports on accounts receivable and offer insights into sums owed, aging, and collection activities.
  • Customer relationship management: Uphold a favorable rapport with clients by offering superior assistance and service. Identify and fix any problems with billing or payments.
  • Compliance: Make sure that all actions related to accounts receivable adhere to corporate guidelines, any local laws, and accepted accounting practices.
  • Audit and Analyze Aging data: Monitor collecting efforts and spot patterns when auditing and analyzing aging data. May start using outside collection agencies to get past-due debts that are not settled.
  • Process Improvement: To boost productivity and accuracy in the accounts receivable process, identify and implement process changes.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations in the UAE is a plus.
