JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Supervise, manage and maintain the books of the hotel(s) on a daily basis
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all transactions to the various accounts and ensure that they are properly recorded in the books on a timely basis and in the correct period
  •  Ensure that all balance sheet transactions are accounted for, documented and properly and timely reconciled• Fully conversant with the Hilton standard chart of accounts and the correct use the same
  • Ensure that the accounting records comply with local laws and regulations and Hilton Policies and procedures• Ensure the month-end closing process is completed and the timely preparation of all required financial reports for review by the Hotel Finance lead
  • Make that the books of accounts are accurately and promptly closed at the end of each month and each year.
  • Help with the forecasting and budgeting process as needed Help with the creation of monthly financial reports and schedules as needed by owners and management

     

  • deeply acquainted with the responsibilities and protocols of other team members in the financial department under the role’s oversight
  • Support and oversee the process of internal and external audits
  • help to ensure adherence to tax and regulatory regulations
  • knowledgeable about and maintains current knowledge of all Hilton and hotel regulations pertaining to finances
  • Participate actively in departmental activities on a hands-on basis, making sure that all work is completed on time, and supporting colleagues when needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections
• Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate
• Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
• Ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate
• Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities
• Detail oriented and organized

• Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills
• Ability to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of company, hotels & owners.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required

Additional Preferences:
University degree in Accounting or Finance
