JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Accurately input and process accounts payable invoices into Cargowise, ensuring correct allocation to cost.
  • Verify that invoices are correctly matched to jobs identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any invoice-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Make sure that direct cost invoices are appropriately categorized and distributed across the relevant departments, projects, or cost centers before entering them into SAP.
  • To fulfill deadlines and preserve vendor relationships, make sure all bills are processed promptly.
  • Make sure that all invoices are appropriately documented and categorized by keeping an eye on and maintaining an accurate accounts payable ledger.
  • To guarantee accuracy, help with the reconciliation of accounts payable statements and reports.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial records by adhering to corporate policies and internal procedures.
  • When necessary, provide assistance with audits and other financial reviews.
  • As required, carry out additional accounts payable administrative duties.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience working in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in Cargowise or similar financial management software is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus, with the ability to efficiently navigate and input data into SAP for accounts payable processing.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
