JOB DESCRIPTION

Ensure accurate and efficient running of reception including check in/out procedures

Respond to Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner

Ensure that both the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments

Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times

Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties

Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities

Recognize the proper protocols for accepting cash, credit cards, and foreign currencies in compliance with the hotel credit policy.

Respond to switchboard calls when necessary.

Make certain that all guest deliveries and messages are successfully and efficiently received.

Observe fire, health, and safety standards and, when necessary, follow the right procedures.

When using property management systems and front-of-house technology, follow the rules and guidelines.

Attend the proper training sessions when needed.

Respect and uphold the standards of the company’s brand.

When needed, provide assistance to other departments and uphold positive working relationships with team members.

Determine a specific project to finish during your internship placement in collaboration with your manager.
