JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supervise children of various ages, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude, fostering an environment where children feel comfortable and excited to participate in activities.
• Enforce rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all children.
• Organize, lead, and participate in a variety of recreational activities and games that are appropriate for different age groups (arts and crafts, sports, team games, storytelling, etc.).
• Activities should be modified to fit the interests, skills, and energy levels of the kids.
• Organize events or programs with a theme that corresponds with special occasions or the seasons.
• Keep an eye on the kids’ conduct and well-being, attending to any injuries, problems, or worries right away.
• Make sure the Kids Club space, including the toys, supplies, and equipment, is always hygienic, well-organized, and secure.
• Notify the supervisor right once of any mishaps, accidents, or safety concerns.
• Communicate with parents and guardians, answering any queries or worries they may have and giving them updates on their child’s activities.
• Make sure families are happy with the Kids Club offerings by creating a warm and encouraging environment.
• Help with the children’s check-in and check-out processes, making sure that all safety precautions are taken.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and employees in the recreation field.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting is preferred.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging activities.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to remain active and energetic throughout the shift.
• Must be able to interact with children for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors.
