JOB DESCRIPTION
Using the proper paving and/or surfacing techniques, maintain and repair portions of the following: streets, roads, curbs, surface mats, membranes, drainage structures, and other improved areas; interpret construction drawings and surveys using data such as grade alignment and subgrade contours; and provide erosion control.
REQUIREMENTS
To meet heavy equipment requirements on a government contract on a military installation. To determine type and application of equipment to use in various maintenance and repair operations; operate construction equipment to finish grade, level, slope, and compact construction materials.
The ability to plan and estimate tasks, coordinate and plan work requirements with other civil engineering and base agencies, and check work to assure quality and compliance with policies, regulations, and other publications is required. The ability to examine possible work sites to establish resource requirements is also necessary. to keep graded roads, gravel roads, open ditches, drainage, slabs on grade, and acreage in good condition. possess expertise building and maintaining chain link fences.
