JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure that goods received are as per the required specifications (quality, quantity, expiry date and hygiene), the stock levels are maintained appropriately for all items in accordance with operational needs and items are issued as per the different sections requisitions.
  • Ensure all adhoc departmental requirements are supplied as per the department requirement specs and time.
  • Control the petty cash and assure that proper documentation is supporting every purchase for accounting purposes.
  • Ascertain that the issuance and receipt transactions going through the W&D Division are supported by the appropriate documentation. To reduce waste, make sure that food products are controlled throughout storage and distribution on a *first in, first out* basis.
  • Make sure that the correct protocols are followed for the daily posting of all operations to stock cards as well as the receiving, issuing, uplifting, and transferring of airline equipment (i.e., fragile, perishable, chilled food products and equipment).
  • Keep all records in accordance with the department’s filing and record-keeping procedures to provide simple document recovery and traceability when needed.
  • Keep an eye on employee performance throughout their shift and make sure everything runs smoothly by keeping an eye on the work schedules.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English is a must
  • Should be computer literate.
  • Should have at least 5 years prior experience in Stores Management of which 2 years should have been in a supervisory capacity.
